Having built and operated Sheringbourne for a couple of years I have decided that building is more interesting than operating!
I am therefore setting out to demolish most but not all of the layout and start afresh.
I will update with photo's and keep you up to date with the work involved, I have a vague plan at the moment but until I have started the removal of track etc I'm not sure of the end result.
I shall be using as many of the buildings and rolling stock as I can.
    Early days!!!

Excellent plan Ron, I too have long thought building stuff is more interesting than operating, probably because I get bored quickly and need a constant supply of ideas and projects to keep ticking along.

Well I made a start today, I think after trying to remove some track that this is more of a rejuvenation than a rebuild!
I have removed the track from one end of the shed and got rid of the bridge I use across the door way. It's a start!!
    Work so far:

I haven't actually run my 00 gauge loft layout for at least 18 months. Once I got into brass loco kit building I found it far more satisfying than operating, and my move into 0 gauge is likely to be the same once the layoutis built.

I have thought about it Keith but in the present economic climate it's not an option. My business is really suffering as dentist's are still
catching up on emergency cases and not denture making!!

I've moved the welder out of the engine shed and on to fixing some fencing!
