    Well, I managed to rescue the strapping and reaffix it the right way up. I did lose the beading around the centre section though, as it got a bit twisted on removal but, as it is very fine detail, I think the model will look convincing enough without it. With all this happening, plus a deadline to be met with the next issue of the car club's magazine, I won't get it finished by the end of September, but it should be done over the next few days.....

    I know that the competition is over, but I thought I would keep on posting in this thread to show my progress with this kit. I didn't get around to getting the paint I needed until a couple of days ago, so the paint job, although underway, is nowhere near being finished. Here's what it looks like now (complete with one piece of beading that is at an angle when it should be straight, but I'm not changing that now.
