Just caught up with this thread. Not much research is necessary for recalls as the NCE system can handle up to six recalls. Press PROG/ESC key repeatedly until you come to SET CAB PARAMS. The first option displayed is # of recalls. Enter up to six and you have the solution. I see you also have encountered the "Cannot read CV" response. Can be a fairly common problem with some decoders especially QSI. More often than not the problem is solved by ignoring the message, just hit enter and proceed.

There are two mandatory rules with DCC My Dargan layout (see under Members Personal Layouts) is fully DCC with over 100 metres of track. A serial bus connects every segment of track including turnouts so rail joiners are bypassed for electrical continuity and a reliable DCC signal is achieved.

The second rule is track cleanliness. Go to the Dioxit thread on this site. Use it and not track rubbers, etc. You will be very pleased with the result.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

Sounds familiar but does not look the same. I got mine from the USA in 2.5 ml tubes. You put ONE drop on each line and run a loco around a few times. Lasts six mnths. Go to our Deoxit thread for all the info. It is great stuff.

There are lots of different Deoxit types on eBay. Which one is the best for a layout?

Go to the thread "Why is Deoxit a secret?" and you will see the various suppliers. I cannot see on ebay what I got which was a packet of 10 2ml tubes. I have only used half of the first tube so I have a lifetime supply.

Thank you Richard. There seem to be many different types though.
