Evening and a Happy New Year. I'm planning to model another one of my little diorama, which will be displayed on a 150mm x 100mm oak plinth as you know this is my favourite choice of base. The diorama theme is simply called No Rest. This will comprise of a GWR wagon going over a small points section. In the background Fred the painter is attending to some fence maintenance. This will all come together with ground covering such as ballast as static grass and most probably will have some discarded railway items. Tomorrow I will start cutting a piece of track to length and start weathering it while I wait for the plinth to arrive.
Morning and thank you for the likes. I completed the main weathering to the piece of track and I am happy with the worn weathered look on the sleepers. Once the track is in place I can start to use some weathering powders to replicate oil and coal dust.
Hi all plinth arrived this afternoon and so the track was able to be mounted in place. Then I started work on the cobbles section of the diorama. This in turn was painted and weathered for the desired look. All weathering and painting is done using a brush. Fred the painter will be starting work on fence maintenance.
Today Fred the painter is being painted up ready to show an appearance, just in time for putting fence posts in.
Today I have managed to make a scratch built points lever, I am really happy with the way it's turned out. I will be weathering the base what the lever site on.
Hi guys Fred the painter has been busy this morning erecting fence posts. Fred is waiting for some more posts and wire to arrive, more to follow..
