Your attention to detail is amazing and the sylvan woodland setting gives a charming capture of nature's spirit. Great workmanship Steve:tophat::tophat::tophat::tophat::thumbup:

784063B0-70BC-4706-BC96-5AA2DF7F85AC.jpeg One of my trees was looking a little undernourished in the foliage department so I’ve given it a coating of the same noch 2.5mm summer meadow grass. I think it’s come up very nice. I’ll be doing a few more like this. Blends in better with the printed trees on the backscene as well

I’m really happy with the results it gives a nice thick canopy. I’ll be doing a few more like this and as Heki do 3 colours of green I’ll get a nice range of colour.

Verra nice mate, I have some trees squirreled away that I made years ago, most if not all the foliage has fallen off so I'm going to give your method a whirl when I've got time!

    Cheers, Pete.

9B5D444C-6080-4FC6-9262-FF817D61778F.jpeg So a little development regarding Sonning, I’ve decided to expand it into a full roundy roundy layout. I’ve wanted to do this for some time first with Severn Tunnel then the riviera line. Circumstances took over in regards to the riviera line so this seems like the ideal project to extend. For now I will continue to build it as originally intended at 12’ long then after I can meet with a friend who has the ability to print out the curves I’ll move on to the curved section. I’ll move the bridges to become the scenic brakes on the curved sections. By doing this it will allow 3 viewing areas which should give nice views along the track and bring the viewer right down into the cutting.
I’ve wanted to build my own complete exhibition layout and not just a diorama for a long time so it’s time to put my money where my mouth is!
Each road will split into 2 in the fiddle yard giving the option to have 8 trains. Train lengths won’t be scale length by any means but I should be able to have 7 coach sets ( Bristolian scale length ) plus loco. Operation will be fairly straightforward. Signals will be by Jon Fitness as always and the bridges will be laser cut by Philip Healey Pearce at Intentio designs.

    Hi Steve

Toto and I started to build modular layouts using a common fiddle yard(s) - traversers at the moment the intension was to eventually build a pair of curved boards, giving us the possibility of a straight end to end, L shaped (internal or external), U shaped and finally if everything lined up an oval with upto 4 scenic sections, and maybe the addition of additional junction boards to allow the trains access to the fiddle yards behind the scenic sections. We have the first layout board (Another bridge), and 2 traversers completed. The second scenic section Luib Bridge was partially completed and did go to an exhibition as a work in progress with Another bridge grafted on to the end giving an overall length of 32.5 ft. Tom wasn't happy with Luib Bridge so I currently have it in the shed ready for stripping to salvage points and electronics.

A modular approach may suit you better as you could swap the visable section, but only have to make the fiddle yards etc once.

Looking forward to seeing the build no matter what approach you take

Great value for money. Looks a very close match to Dapol’s offering so should blend in well with what I’ve already used.

I got talking to the owner of the company at Warley, he does a great range of products. I commented on his leaf scatter and mentioned it looked like dried parsley, funny you should say that he replied.........

    Cheers, Pete.

Enjoying following the development of this project Steve

How good are the Mig range of weathering products.

The range disappeared for a while I believe a issue between owners, but it’s good to see the weathering washes back in the range, luckily I was given the heads up by a supplier when the Mig range was about to be withdrawn a few years ago, so was able to stock up on a few of my go to items, but they are getting low now, so I’m one that’s happy the Mig washes and other products are again becoming available again.
