    its basically just a transformer rectifier with a wifi controller. It relys on your smartphone or tablet to actually do the work. Hence the low cost. its still only a DC controller and you are still controlling voltage to the track rather than sending signals to a decoder in a loco.

    Those Hornby pages, wow, Tech spec includes oo gauge, (twice) and it's colour, am I missing something with my wrinkly eyes?

    One big issue I have with using apps on my old iPods via wifi to my Lenz system is a low battery warning on the iPod.

    They are silent, visual only and by the time I have noticed a loco is not responding and dismissed the warning and the wifi connection is re-established I have a collision to clear up. :faint:

    Does anyone know how to set those warnings to give a tone?
