Down on the Thirlmere - Buxton Loop

    As I had to be out of bed early this morning for work, once done, I didn't want to just waste the day...
    I took a drive down to Thirlmere and photographed a beautiful little 2-6-0 Mogul, locomotive 2705 (27 Class), built in 1913 by the Hunslet Engine Company for the New South Wales Government Railways.

    I came across the engine at Thirlmere Station, home of the New South Wales Rail Museum, prior to her departing with her train to Buxton. Throughout the next 1.5 hours, I photographed her along the branchline doing her thing.
