Acton Lane

Acton Lane is going to be a small plank layout which I am starting to build and will be in OO gauge.
The plank will feature a section of track where locomotives and wagons would have worked around Acton Lane power station.
As well as the track section I hope to model and capture the a section of security fencing and a concrete coal bunker which runs along side one of the track sidings.
My loco of choice will of course be an Andrew Barclay 0-4-0 OST 14" 2069 " Little Barford " which worked at Acton Lane power station. More to follow..

 

First of all thank You to everyone for following my plank build.
At the moment I am waiting for a baseboard to arrive from SMS which hopefully should be here early next week. The peco track should arrive in the post today so at least I can measure my track length and start weathering it ready for the baseboard next week.

 

Short progress report on Acton Lane, the length of track arrived yesterday while I was at work. So today I have completed the basis weathering on the track such as painting the rail sides, chairs and sleepers.
Once the baseboard arrives on Wednesday I can glue the track in place. I will of course add a picture tomorrow of the weathered track in some decent light.
