I have been pissing my pants for this kit from MOK for sooooooooooo long. Unfortunately, supplier issues have been a problem for updated lost wax castings so it's been our of production for a very long time ( at least 18 months ). The rumour is ...... they are back. Now given that Ihave been AWOL for quite some time .......due to being mentally deficient due to COVID many of our new members wont know that I have a kit stash that would choke a horse and zero kit building skills. However ...... now that I am back ..... it's funny that no matter how many kits you have, the one you want to build is the one that you dont have. So .... enter stage left .......the MOK Q 1........ I have another version previously ( and enviously ) built by Kimbo from another kit supplier stable, but, the MOK ...... in my opinion is the cream of the crop. I am confident that one of these dream machines will. Be on its way to me in the very near future and once I have done a bit of final tuning to my semi pickled brain ...... I will be taking the ridiculous decision to jump right in with a do or die approach. Wish me well with my Q 1 or Q 2 or Q 3 build .......... whatever it turns out to be. Toto Cheers Toto
Stick to the Bullied Q1 and not the Ivatt Q1, Q2 or Q3 (LNER ex GNR 0-8-0 Locomotives). Is santa away to make a late delivery Paul
Very appropriate for what will probably be a long build if history has anything to do with it but at least there is a flicker of activity in my head. Let's see if I can turn it into a flame. Toto
Bullheid Q1 ordered and on it's way. I will start a thread in the kits section to cover the depictation of the kit parts as they arrive and closely followed by the build thread. I am sure that I have a set of wheels already for this kit and possibly hornblocks amongst other extra goodies so I am one step ahead. I will read the MOK destructions to see what they recommend for a motor and gearbox but I think it will be expensive somehow. A kit of this quality deserves spending a few quid on. Now ..... just to clear the shed a bit and look out the required tools, lotions and potions etc. Photos will follow as always. Toto
Wow, I knew you weren't feeling a bit crook, but I hadn't realised it was that serious Great that you're finally getting a Q1 - the really ugly one Paul
