Some progress on the plank while I had some spare time.
The backboard has been glued in place ready for me to start building the structure for grassy embankment with small parts of rock face showing.

Pete thanks for pointing this out to me, I did not know about this. I'm certain I can fit it and hopefully it should look ok.

While I'm feeling a bit better today, I thought I would crack on and model the main structure of the embankment.
I love this method of using cardboard, cutting it to the shapes you want and build it up in layers. This will now need time to fully dry, so modelling has stopped until tomorrow.

I made the buffers then fitted them to the track afterwards, there was no problem at all, I just placed them in
position on the track then eased them slightly apart and then located and clipped in place. Pretty sure that is the way to do it.

I have managed to get the buffer stop fitted to the track. I cut the feet off as I wanted the metal legs connecting with the track.
Drop of super glue and I'm really happy with the way the buffer stop looks.

:hismiley: guys thanks for the responses to my plank build. Work will now commence on my slow transition into O gauge modelling.
Hopefully over the next couple of days the scenery section will come to life.

:hismiley:There has been a slight change to my plank. The embankment has now been replaced by a dressed stone wall and the mound in front has been created to replicate a ballast or stone mound.
    As always a progress picture..
