I bought one of these off a well known website (other websites available) and had to use it for the first time today to remove failed print debris off my FEP. Simply brilliant and dirt cheap - highly recommended for all our 3d print buffs out there. Mossy
I can also recommend them. We have two in the kitchen, one with a metal blade and one with plastic. Great for scraping pancakes off the ceiling
Walking Is your aim that bad? Welcome to the club. This one came with both plastic and metal scrappers. 5 of each.
Andy Yeah the plastic beastie did but this one is more like a plastic razor blade and easily gets under resin stock on the fep without risking doing any damage to the fep. I saw it being demo'd on youtube and thought for a few quid lets see what it can do. Mossy
Andy The demo actually showed one being used to remove cured resin from a mono plate, again claiming it didn't damage the mono film. I think I would rather stick to having a screen protector over the plate. Mossy
On order ...... I would suggest when removing depris from the fep, that the fep rests on a flat surface with a smooth soft covering - paperback book with a slilicon mat works for me. As when removing that stubbon bit, it is so easy to snag and cause a ding, often resulting in a new fep being required. No prizes for guessing how I know . May even be worth rounding off the two ends of the scrapper to remove the point contact that's most likely to create the dind. Paul
I agree with your synopsis of padding and support Paul. I hadn't thought rounding the ends but will be doing so, also I am finding the metal scrapper useful clean up build plates etc all up a cheap natty little tool. Mossy
