As Brian (walkingthedog) has previously posted on these wagons, I to have taken delivery today of these superb wagons. and here posed with the brass kit built “Flyash” presflo I built, just after Ellis made the announcement. These 3 wagons will join the other 2 wagons I have and possibly form a small diorama board. The wagons are excellent, lots of nice “fragile “ detailing so care must be taken when removing them from the excellent presented packaging with extra detailing parts and a full list of the models with branding, running numbers, years of operation, colour and tops or pre tops detailing. Any issues with them ? 1 x side advert boarding loose - just required a dab of glue to re fix 1 x Ladder Hand rail had paint chipped off - dab of white acrylic sorted that issue. 3 x coupling chains needed adjusting to let the top chain fit correctly in the coupling hook shaft. all minor issues. so now it’s time to weather them up, which means watching Gary’s excellent tutorial again on the BACHMANN models he weathered up a while back. https://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?threads/weathering-bachmann-presflo-22t-cement-wagon.289/
They do look good and ..... there will be one up for grabs as Ellis Clark is donating one to our competition prize fund. So ...... keep your eyes peeled. Cheers Toto
Here’s the link to the long version of the weathering session (2x speed, as it took about 1 hour to do all the wagons) grab a beer/wine and or pop corn…
Cheers Gormo. Yes I think they look even better weathered up. I’ve just received a Bauxite version which will need “attending” to
