These ancient vehicles are I believe GNR style but I am not sure they are based on any prototype. They are very fragile and need some work to get them running again. I would recommend pick up (York UK) rather than postage (which will be at cost) and am open to offers. I should add I am not expecting much for these and if I get no offers then I will probably send them to a charity shop if no offers in a week.

They run an articulated set like this on the North Norfolk Railway, pity they're O gauge or I may have been tempted!

no I think they are scratch builds - bought them years ago and they have spent 20 odd years wrapped in bubble wrap. For an o gauge layout I never built.

    Hi Dave,
It's a shame they are not 16mm gauge otherwise I would put an offer in to you.Haven't converted the tar wagon as yet as we have a lot on here at the moment.
    Regards,
    Gloria

Hi Gloria, I beat you to them, they now reside in my shed waiting to be converted into 6 wheeler's.

    Hi Pete,
Congratulations on your purchase of the above. Glad you bought them . 0 gauge doesn't look the part on narrow gauge unfortunately. I have purchased 4 Rheidol Coaches of the Welsh Highland Railway they are lovely. Looking forward to meeting up with you in Peterborough next month I will be wearing a light blue 16mm jumper and blue trousers. We should be around by Loco Boxes and Roundhouse ModelStock engineering stands.
    Regards,
    Gloria.
Ps hope there isn't a lot restoration to be done on them Pete.

Hi Gloria, the coaches were built some time ago for an O gauge garden railway to coarse standards using (I think) Triang Big Big train coach bogies one of which was broken. Not a problem as I intend to make them 6 wheelers.
The underframe is very basic and the bodies a sealed box so no chance of putting passengers inside. I may repaint them but I haven't decided yet.

    Pete.

    Hi Pete,
That's good when finished they will look lovely I expect.Pity about not putting passengers in them, on ours we carefully took off the roof and added passengers as it was only glued on.
Good luck on what ever you decide Pete.
    Regards,
    Gloria.
