A Blast from the past.

    Class 43 in the 1970's Intercity 125 livery being tail-end charlie on a main line train into Plymouth yesterday. Sorry it's not a brilliant pic but having smashed my 70/300 lens I had to take it with the 18/55 and it was on the far side of the Plym estuary (about 300 yds away).

    I always liked the corporate Blue Grey linery, and the 125 Intercity looked fresh, certainly better than Virgin East Coast primer grey, it always reminds me of something rushed at a cut down price, "eh Misser Branson sar, thats the undercoat done sar", "Welldone, Just apply the transfers those east coasters will never know the difference".

    Yes you are right Gary. First Great Western (GWR) have redone a couple of the earlier examples out in the livery. I think it is 43002 & 43003 they have done. I will look into it further later and let you all know.
