On the afternoon of Saturday 11th February 2017, I turned out at Runcorn station for a couple of hours, to see a special train which I'd been tipped off about.

A private charter train from London Euston to Liverpool South Parkway was conveying fans of Tottenham Hotspur FC, on their way to their away match against Liverpool at Anfield (in the event, Spurs lost 2-0 to the Kopites).

DBS 90037 Spirit of Dagenham and 90035 topped and tailed the Mk2 air-con set, consisting of former Anglia turquoise and some of Riviera's recently repainted BR 'Blue & Grey' examples.

Here are a few snapshots (and video) from that afternoon, including a few random freights inbetween; from Speke, Ditton, and one coming off the Folly Lane branch...

Nice photo's David, did Spurs get the MkII's on the way there and travel in the containers on the way back, as payment for the loss :avatar:

See you in a couple of weeks in Glasgow

All I'm saying is, thank God, I'm neither Spurs or a Kopite... (I'm a 'Toffee', or an Everton-ian!)

    :giggle:

    Definitely! Cheers Paul.
