    Evenin' all! Well, after more than one nudge from @Andy_Sollis I've finally joined.

    On and off I've had model trains around since I was a wee boy… (way back in the mists of time) but I'm definitely in the 'armchair modeller' camp at the mo'.

    I'm hoping that I can find some inspiration here to kickstart my modelling mojo.

    My interests are numerous and various… N gauge, HO, OO, O, O-16.5 and (thanks to a recent impulse purchase of a Bachmann Quarry Hunslet) OO9 (I think that's everything).

    So that's me… Why 'Laird of Balmawhapple'? Well… why not? I spotted it in a list of Great Central Railway 'Scottish Directors' (LNER class D11/2) and I liked it!
