    Hi Everyone,

I thought I would post here my little side project using a box file.

I'll call it Boxed In for now.

As you may have seen this was the design I entered for the layout design competition.

Attached is a video of one track that I have wired for DCC before gluing the track down and dealing with other things like sector plate alignment etc.

Toto - the soldering iron is great - I haven't soldered my fingers together yet or burned me self. I must be doing something right or I haven't turned the power on.......

    Cameron

Ps. The engine did not hit the side of the box (it had 1mm to go - I checked)

Hi Cameron, a great little project . I have been fascinated with box file since coming across a guy at a show with 4 in a row, they could be joined together or operated separately and the detail he put in them was amazing for the room available.

    Cheer's, Pete.

Delighted to hear your fingers are ok ( was it switched on ) :avatar: I'm sure that loco was embedded into the side of the file box.

    Great stuff.

I’m guessing that’s the home made DCC unit in operation
Congrats on the first train movements :thumbup::tophat:

Chris, Yes it is. The hardware is simple to put together. Understanding the program code is more complcated

Toto, thats what happens when i am not paying proper attention. Exceeding the posted speec

Sorry for the delay on this but life gets in the way sometimes.

I have upgraded my dcc to the nce starter pack

And made some progress on the layout. Just waiting for the glue to dry.

    Hi Cameron
Good to see your back into it and making progress
Welcome to the NCE set I know a few who have joined that club.

This life thing is no good it dose tend to get in the way occasionally
One of the best things with this hobby of model railways you can have a break for however long and basically pick up from where you left off.

A few things to cut and place yet. The coloured wall needs to move right and bend around the back wall
