Going to build a cattle dock and goods shed or at least have built the goods shed and now need to plant it.
I have seen two models where the cattle wagons are backed through the goods shed to reach the cattle dock on the same siding.
Was that prototypical practice? Were they always next to each other on the same siding? I was always told that an engine never went through the goods shed. If not how are the wagons retrieved by the shunter?
    Any suggestions or help?
    Thanks
    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,
This is something I've always wondered as well. The link below asked the same question, but does not give a definitive answer... More research to do on the nett I think.

And another link with a bit more info...

I think this is a case of "Rule One" applied here.
