Meant to arrive today via Parcel force between 10 and 11 o'clock. Missed that slot. Could be stuck in all day waiting for it. Never mind, as long as it arrives. Photos will be posted later. Cheers Toto
Hi Mike ..... just need the moulds made now. that is in the pipeline so hopefully not too far away. and here is the centrifuge ..... on/off and spin speed controller on the front ..... the pouring hole on top ..... a quick look inside ..... and the last for now. I dont think it will be seen quite as clean as this again. Still ...... if its clean ..... it aint earning so bring on the muck. cheers toto
and some of the required accessories ....... 10" mould rings ...... 7" mould rings 10" centrifuge mould plates and there are 7" versions as well but no photo taken to accompany them. cheers toto
I'm sure it's easier to make pancakes with a frying pan or griddle, but maybe useful for making candy floss .... mmmmmm candy floss
Didn't you know Dundee but candyfloss is one of the accessory items Highlander Models will be offering to the kit builder, the aim is to well and truly look after all customers... even down to offering a glass of mulled wine on visitor open days. Oh the privilege.
The glass of Mulled wine is only offered to those who are driving, which with Scottish drink driving limits, you're over the limit just sniffing the glass.
Try Googling 'rado active isotopes' along with Centrefuge and see the attention one gets from GCHQ.....
Are you transferring it directly to a crucible then 'spinning' it then?? I heated the mould in the furnace, transferred it to the machine then heated (blowtorch) the metal in the crucible till molten then 'span' the machine. Is it different with a low melting metal then?
Melt the metal in the crucible then transfer via ladle to top of spin caster / centrifuge. Pour in through hole in top directly into the mould.
And the leather apron, gauntlets and eye protector glasses are here waiting for you, I've also found a nice crisp white confectionery jacket that should fit in case you want to make candyfloss as well.
