    So I have a very keen interest in the LNER coming from the east of England in kinda my region I do slot of scratch builds and kit bashing hope you enjoy the pictures the first is of an LNER Z5 scratch built

    Lots of character with the wee loco. I take it that's a new push rod that you are making yourself.

    Yes need to fit pistons and cut push rods to fit will take time but should be an easy task

    Hi Chris
    Had a look at the build photos in the gallery
    Nice Job and creative use of X Hornby wheel set and motor guessing X original smoky Joe?? :thumbup:
    I especially like the repurpose of the permanent marker for the boiler barrel :thumbs:

    Thank you for your kind comments yes it started life as a smoke Joe but not much remains now just some work on the chassis and pistons to do and hope to have her running buy Christmas's

    I was lucky enough to see some of the pictures of your fathers wterrific work on these scratch built carriages. Fantastic build with layered plasticard. Whats the chances of turning us green with envy with a couple of shots of that if he is ok with it. Its certainly the first I have seen of that kind of build and very impressive.

    Hi Toto sorry it's taken a while here are a few pictures of my fathers builds for those that don't know he is a 4mm modeler of the Caledonian railways 1890- 1910/15 mod are done using cameo cutters or modified RTR

    Wow some nice work there Chris, I like the use of every day stuff that usually gets thrown away for modelling, I started building an LNER F5 in 4mm and used the plastic inner from a roll of bus tickets, I will see if I can find it and post a couple of pics.
