Taken over a number of years whilst we worked on the restoration of 47524 (D1107) at the CVR Cab photos, showing desk complete (and starting to strip) Fire warning system and change end switches, light switches above door, heaters, brake wheel and boiler room door/notices.
Class 47 roof - Air vents, exhaust, fibreglass clear roof and scavenger fans. (the welded panel in photo three would be where the steam heat boiler exhaust port would have been as this was a steam heat and eta dual braked loco (vac and air)
There may well be more soon (of a refurbished cab not a scruffy one) once I find where they have been saved. Also class 33 to follow. I’ll try and bag the 08 and 02 sometime. Also Yorkshire Janus.
Found some more photos of 47524 restoration.. The Front panel removed, in here was where the headcode box was once fitted. Buffer beam and missing faring Later LED marker lights and Headcode panel removed Who knew that the switch for the wipers had a flip side and was in French ? Cab, pre restoration Cab during restoration
Don't know if anyone is interested in these for the modelling etc, but thought would include these anyway - This is the Aux room … the first photos are from 47192 when we had to swap a compressor unit. The later are from 524 during restoration. Not much room in here. To the right (and out of view) is the fuel tank. Fuel tank Is the grey block on the right.
Nice internal pictures Andy and great to keep in the prototype section as reference material, you never know when such details will be needed and it is nice to be able to find such stuff.
