    And here they are .....

the usual tidy box with plenty protective wrapping inside.

    full destructions as always .......

pre-rolled boiler and cab roof and a rather nice cast boiler backhead ........

The rest of the cast white metal fittings etc with a two man crew ......

The usual array of brass tubes and wires etc ........

the nickel silver loco components / chassis etc ......

and final the tender chassis and component etches.

and that as they say ........ is that. nice kit.

    cheers

That looks a crackin' kit Toto :tophat:... and it is tempting me ... oh the power of the O... :scratchchin: hmmm ... I fancy doing a nice little six wheeler like this but I think a 4F would have to come first.

The main difference build wise is the loco chassis. The J39 has a fold up affair as opposed to the 4F's separate sides etc. Just in case you want the choice of a slightly more involved chassis. Makes no difference to me.

Is that why you blocked out the window so she couldn't peer in :avatar: even if you had bought some nice vertical blinds for privacy :avatar::avatar::avatar:

That's it ... it never ends, like you I'm budgeting for Steve's Class 26 and 27 kits, I then have name down for the new reworked Duchess from Gladiator which will be out soon, definitely for next year will be a 25/3 and a 24/1 from Steve, then I'd like a 4F and an 8F.

the J39 kit from Jim at Connoisseur is a superb kit, makes a very nice midel out of the box, everything fits together (a very refreshing change) the one i picked up was an older kit, the instructions were clearly from a typewriter and the box said £175!

By the time Toto gets around to building the kit - his will probably of similar vintage :avatar:

I've seen Jim's built model on his stand, and it's an impressive model, and would compliment my J37 as well - but like Yorkie, the 4F has a stronger pull.
