    Rob,

    We are singing from the same hymn sheet as far as emergency brake gear goes, but the real question is the routing of the gas supply.
    Does it take the easy route coming down the same end as the emergency brake gear or following convention for other coaching stock does it route over the top of the birdcage and down the opposite end to the brake gear.

    I would think that it would be at the same end as the brake gear in this instance so as to connect it to the preceding coach.

    Judging by how hard it is to remove the label off jars, and with a coat of primer and paint (if they don't peel the label off) then I'd say it should be preety good.

    With just primer they lifted very easily, hence me ordering some .002 shim to solder in place.
