If there's one day I didn't want a bed siezure it was today. Suppoesed to be up at 06.00 and up to Crewe by 10.00 which was actually the time I woke up :(. Still in spite of appalling weather I travelled up the country and eventually found myself between Crewe Station and the avoiding lines in a very modern train care facility.

I realised I wouldn't have enough time to get to the Heritage Center as well but it didn't matter as everything I needed to see was here.

Imagine my delight at eventually finding no less than three Class 37's and a number of electric loco's too. And best of a a Class 319 EMU !

So in between photographers I got my sketch pad and tape measure and took notes, drawings, and over 100 Photo's some of which I've posted below.

Got a fair bit of stuff on the 37 too which will keep me out of misschief next week.

Done over 700 Miles in two days - am shattered! Going to track a 37 down to one of the more local preserved lines I think.
