This is what I've been using for quite a while now, bonds within half a minute, but I guess I could buy the accelerator spray and speed it up some more. Both Toolstation and Screwfix list Mitre spray accelerator (I thought initially that 'Mitre' was the brand name, but it's intended for fast gluing of mitred joints in wood, hence the name) which I assume will work with the high viscosity stuff I have.

Keith, please remember that superglue, regardless of viscosity has a shorter life and parts are subject to becoming brittle, making them easier to come off.

    Cheers, Gary.

To be honest Keith I'm very much working in isolation in the current conditions, all I seem to do is go between here (home) and an empty house under renovation six miles away, I there by myself and the place is still with out doors. Let me check where I got the glues from, for sure they will be via the internet... I don't do model shops these days.

Toolstation stock this at £2.65 for 50Ml, they have the debonder too in case you stick your fingers together!:avatar: Screwfix stock the 'No Nonsense' range, and both do the accelerator.

Its been a bit quiet on this build because quite honestly the light conditions haven't been good to see good transfer application and detailing but this last day has given such an opportunity so I cracked on with the decals... not finished yet as the black lining around the whiskers still have to go on and the other cab end still needs its whiskers applying. I will also have to create from basic text the legend "TAIL LOAD 28 TONS MAXIMUM TARE WEIGHT" which goes just under the vehicle number on the right hand side. Once all this is done and flat varnish finished I can fix the glazing (which is all ready) and the security bars then with 3mm flat face LEDs added for marker lights the cab ends can be made up and fitted. I even have a seated driver on order from ModelU... even if he is wearing the later pork pie hat uniform.

Here are a few pics of progress so far... enjoy and thanks to all for following.

I know the letter C is the wrong shape... it should be more square in shape.

I take back what I said. With the lining etc, this starts to look good. I’m warming to this now.

Gee thanks Mr S... in the end I plumped for M 55999 which was stabled at Cockshute Carriage Yard in the early 1960's. The reason this looks a bit like a parcels BG with end cabs is because the builder Cravens followed the basic Mark 1 bodyshell framing for the 105 and 129 design, thus the similarity to a parcel van which in essence this was.
