Great video Paul, well executed and the paint stuck ! A few tips for better airbrushing... 1. I would recommend not to mix the paint in the airbrush cup (paint reservoir), mix it seperately, then decant into the cup. The way you have shown in the video may result in 'neat' paint being sprayed through the gun, as the paint may not necessarily be mixed thoroughly enough, especially at the bottom of the cup. 2. Always start spraying away from the model and work across the whole length. Squeeze the trigger before running across the model and let go of the trigger, when you have completely passed the model. By engaging the airbrush directly on the model, the likelihood of paint splatter from both wet and semi dried paint residue in the airbrush is greatly increased. Don't take chances, as the model may end up back in the Detol ! Looking forward to part 2. Cheers, Gary.
Hi Gary Thanks, and duly noted, will try better for the next part I'm having "fun" with the colour coats - 4 coats later and its still pink ! I'm using Humbrol RC403 - Crimson Lake. The 5th Coat is starting to look better, but as the surface finish is fine I will just keep at it. Not having used acrylics on models before, the change in colour during drying did take me by suprise. Paul
