Episode 12 Easter Greetings

Family, friends, the two most important things in the World.

Thanks Gormo for taking the time to remind us, and to Toto for giving us a medium to be reminded upon. Whilst being considerably younger than Gormo, I too can remember Sunday being a day when shops, cinema's and everything were closed, in the part of the world I live in now even the pubs where shut, I think I miss that.

I remember my Nan and Granddads routine on a Sunday each week, it would be a roast dinner, with home made apple pie and custard, the custard jugs and gravy boat my Nan used each week have pride of place in one of our display cabinets in the kitchen. Then after lunch had been tidied away and the washing up done each would have their weekly bath and sit in the front room, the front room being the best decorated and having the best furniture. Nan would do her knitting and Granddad would read the paper till he fell asleep until tea time.

Those were the days, now my Sundays are spent doing Toto's bidding, or digging ditches, seldom have a family dinner, how ever this weekend WE WILL be having a family dinner,.

Thanks Gormo, whilst I chomp into my roast Beef I'll rise my glass and think of you and your family.

I echo Paul's remarks and would like to thank Gormo for that Easter message. As a Christian the one thing I will do is go to church on Easter Sunday and the rest of the holiday with my extended family. I to remember the shops shut Sundays and holidays we also had an early closing day on Wednesdays, long gone now in the pursuit of profit!
