    G`day Folks,

Uncanny timing this week has resulted in one of my photo shopped pics being selected for picture of the week ,whilst I was beavering away creating a video about how to do the very same thing.????

Well there you go????.....coincidence strikes again !!!!!.....or strange cosmic vibes on the forum:scratchchin:

    Ahem!!!....yes!!!....right!!!...OK...back to the subject Gormo!!!

I have opened up PhotoFiltre once more folks to show you some of the little techniques involved in stitching a railway mag style photograph together. I think these photographs are interesting in an artistic or aesthetic sense, however I don`t totally agree with the use of them in magazines.

There is a considerable difference between the original and the doctored version, using my own pics as examples, and therefore I see it as giving a false impression of my railway. Translate this thinking and situation to a new railway modeller, possibly a youngster, and they may see examples of doctored pics in magazines as a level of railway modelling that they could never achieve, without realizing the images have been manipulated. Therefore it can go some way to possibly demoralizing these folk as opposed to inspiring them. Inspiration is what it`s all about in my book and I feel that it is our role as older, more experienced railway modellers, to pass on the baton to the younger generation of railway modellers and not hold back or distort the information that goes with it.

OK.....down off the soap box now and back to business. I will insert the appropriate whatsits, doofers and thingymajigs below to link you all up with video......Enjoy!!!!!!
