G`day folks, Yes we`re running trains again......isn`t that why we`re here.?????? I started out today with no idea of what subject I was going to cover this week on Gormo`s Shed. I thought back to Monday just gone, where I had quite a long running session with my five year old Grandson. Every time he comes to visit, his first question when he gets in the door is " Can we go and see the trains Pop.???"......well who am I to prevent a little boy from having a look at some model trains.???? Anyway, he learns fast and already is saying he wants to be a mechanical engineer, so this hobby really appeals to him. I also test him and give him some complex things to do and he soaks it up like a sponge. Well we had a good time running trains and I thought why not carry on the theme into this weeks Shed. This time we are shunting in the Goods Yard with my GWR Prairie 5513, so I hope you enjoy this quiet relaxing video.......no music with this one......just train noises and the Great Chesterford clock ticking away. So here we go folks.......remember the drill.????? 1 Beer.......check. 2 Popcorn...check 3 Crisps...check 4 Comfy chair...check 5 Press PLAY.....check Just Running Trains no.10 on YouTube http://www.clickGormo
Great shunting video Gormo I find I get lost in my own little world watching it ... thoroughly enjoyable its ispiring me to finish my own plonk .. Ian vt
Well thanks Ian, If you are getting lost in your own little world watching it, I guess I have done my job of creating an entertainment for you!!! I suppose this video, as opposed to all my other Just Running Trains Series, actually tells a story in a way, in that the little Prairie has a job to do sorting out wagons. It has a beginning and an end like any story should. Your plonk / plank will give you hours of fun sorting wagons and it`s good for your grey matter to face some mental challenges / puzzles on a regular basis as well. I suggest you have a Tinto and ponder your next project on your plonk. All the best http://www.clickGormo

Enjoyable start to the day Gormo thanks! What do you use to uncouple your wagons, the staple/magnet system?? But sorry to say this but my pet hate is loco's with no crews on board, they look like runaway loco's!!(Hope it's OK to say this, just my opinion) Cheers Ron
G`day Folks and thanks for your comments, Ron it is quite OK to give your opinion. I will listen and I actually agree with you of course. I just haven`t got around to putting the crews in, but I will move it further up my list of things to do. I will " eventually " use the Brian Kirby method with staples and magnets. The system is not in place on my trains yet........that`s another thing on the list.......so for the purposes of the video I used the H.O.G. system. In other words stop the train, turn the camera off, uncouple using hand of God, re-start the camera, drive the loco away......and there you have the magic of gormoVision......it`s a deception which has prompted a question every time I`ve done it. There is something you guys have missed though?????........nobody has asked about the diesel sound effect at the beginning with old gap tooth....the class 33!!!!.....or maybe you`ve worked that out already............... http://www.clickGormo
Oh no Gormo thats it you've killed the magic ... I've not been so disilusioned since I found out Harry Corbett had a hand in Sooty ....
Finally got some time to sit and watch. Very good, enjoyed that Ed PS OK I'll ask, how did you get the diesel sound effect with the class 33 at the beginning.
Thanks Ed, The sound is actually the sound from the video clip. It is removed from the clip first and then doctored in an audio program, in that the speed is reduced to half and then some reverb is added. The clip is then laid over the visual track in Moviemaker and you have what you see there in the video clip. http://www.clickGormo
