I think this will better utilise the buildings and signalling from Ranelagh Bridge,

we will have 12’ scenically with 4’ storage. It will mainly be light engine movements as a shed but hopefully will provide a nice photographic back drop, plus I can pose some rolling stock in this as well,

I haven’t tackled a station project test so this will be a new challenge.

My only concern is the huge drop when you open the front door :avatar:

Ha that’s a window! I’ll reduce the height of the tenements As they are a bit tall compared to the back scene houses and now there’s only a pair they stick out a bit more.

    Hi Steve,
Gosh Ranleigh Bridge brings back memories I used to work at Paddington Station and that was situated on the left as you leave the station had a turntable as well. The Britannia based at Cardiff Canton not far from Cardiff General. You are doing a lovely model of it well done.:tophat:
    Regards,
    Gloria.

I really like your attention to detail on the brick work of the retaining walls, signal cabin, water tower etc. I tried to replicate what you have done but the L-Cut just isn't in the same league as laser cut...

Looking forward to the layout growing, scenery wise.

    Cheers, Gary.

The key to painting MDF is sealing it, I spray with grey primer first from the £ shop then use gloss white before the brick colour ( I use Railmatch BR bauxite ). This allows you to use acrylics or emulsion for the mortar courses and wipe away any excess from the birck surface without it penetrating the MDF.
The wall behind the water tower and signal box is slaters Plastikard and I’ve managed to get the finish the same on both.

Thanks Gloria, I was building a layout of Ranelagh Bridge but unfortunately I cancelled that plan back last year as it was to big a project for me to manage, the point work, signal box, Signaling and water tower where all for that project and where designed from GWR works drawing, I’m hoping This new project will be the best use of the bits I already had

    Hi Steve,
You are welcome, so sorry to hear that , but as you mentioned a big project I can understand why you want to change things around. Whatever you decide good luck with it hope it all turns out well for you. It's nice that you can utilise other parts of your models that you built.
    Regards,
    Gloria.

Your work is always inspiring, the telephone bell on the water tower and stairs round the corner, the perspective of the alleyway, etc.
The only problem I have is that you prompt dopey questions! like what/why the tender has an orange bar?

B06F6FF4-D181-41AD-BAAA-B283DA840F97.jpeg Slight change of position on the station sign, a few more posters and a gutter box! I’ll drill a hole above it and add some down pipes and 3 D printed gutter brackets.
The joints in the brick sheets will be covered with buttresses painted in engineers blue, there will be some edged bricks along the wall top plus spear top fencing.
