Been a while since I've posted anything here, so let's make it a good one...

The iconic LNER A3 60103 Flying Scotsman is currently taking time out from her mainline duties, to haul a few special trains over two weekends; this weekend (August Bank Holiday), and the one after the next (7th to 10th September).

I went along on a showery Friday 24th August 2018 to see and ride behind her, as well as BR 34092 City of Wells, and class 47 diesel D1501. The trio were kept busy working trains between Heywood and Rawtenstall, via Bury, Burrs, Summerseat, Ramsbottom and Irwell Vale.

I will be making another visit on Monday 27th August to get more snaps, so stay tuned...
