    Hi,

Can anyone help again please with another query, We have a Graham Farish 3MT Loco in need of repair. It fell apart when we took it out of the box it is DCC fitted the side rods slide bar motion have come away as well. The steps broke off when it fell on the floor as the body was all loose. Could anyone on here repair it please and the cost for parts.

    Many thanks,

    Gloria.

    Hi Gloria
The guys at Train Trader in Pymble Sydney (soon to close) do my repairs but the sorry news is that when I took a Farish Flying Scotsman in last week they replied it was very hard to obtain parts.
Do not know if it is any easier where you are but I would love to know how you get on with it.

    Hi Andrew,
Thank you ever so much for your reply. I have been in touch with Bachmann UK and they have replied back asking me to send it to them with a covering note saying what is wrong with it and that they can possibly repair it. It is a shame you live so far away as there is another company in the UK called BR Lines he sells all different parts for locomotives and rolling stock, I would have sent mine to him to be repaired but seeing its DCC Fitted he cant test them after repair.
Also I am sorry to hear of your model repair shop is closing, we are very limited where I live in Cornwall. Yes I will keep in touch and let you know once the repair is complete.
    My kindest and best regards,
    Gloria.

Fingers crossed Gloria, mind you if Bachmann can't fix it .

I'm with Ian here, I find 4mm hardenough to see, I have to put my reading glasses on to read the loco running number, to enter it into my DCC controller, then swap back to my normal glasses to see where its going :whatever:

    Hi Paul,

Thank you ever so much for your reply. According to Bachmann from an email I had back from them, they said they might be able to repair it.

    Hi Paul,
The locomotive has been repaired by Bachmann. I am waiting for it to be returned now. They said that they will send on Monday 10th October, but knowing our postal system will take a bit longer. Thank you ever so much for your help though.
    My kindest regards,
    Gloria.

    Hi Ian,
Thank you ever so much for your reply. Yes I am hoping it will fit our letter box. When we get a chance we will post some photo's on here, as our layout is a long way from completion. once we get the signals sorted out, as we are running DCC on our layout. Got one working but the sensor is in the wrong place, I bought another one for another signal so now its finding room under the layout to fix it.
Will let you know as soon asap.
    Regards,
    Gloria.
