I did something similar to this many years ago using an old surplus Triang B12 tender. It was by no means an accurate model, but purely representative. I don't think I have any photos of it, but I do still have the model.
....and from t'other end.Now it just needs to join the ever-lengthening queue for weathering, which I WILL get around to eventually. Keith. Attached files
Great build Keith and you have a very unique model that will be a talking point on your layout. So when do we see the Snow scene Start to take shape on your layout
Shan't be bothering with any snow, Chris, it'll just be parked up in a siding rather like I'd guess most of the real ones were, in 'instant readiness', should there be a major fall of snow! Keith.
Here are a couple of photos of the one I did all those years ago, based on a surplus Triang B12 tender. The design is freelance but based very loosely on photos of some real snow ploughs. One of these days I may get around to replacing the original plastic wheels with metal ones and painting the yellow and black stripes on the plough. Essentially, I had the same idea as Keith did, quite independently ... great minds think alike!
Ok ... ! ... bet you wont see more than 2 of those on any other layouts guess there's not a lot new in our hobby, still great modelling both. Ian vt
The thought did occur to me to do a second, matching one, Ian. They would then run with a locomotive in the middle as a sort of push-pull ploughing train. However, I have never really bothered to look for another B12 tender to match the first.
