See you up there Gary, Not sure which day yet. We`re working out a trip up to the central coast on the weekend as well, so when that`s sorted I will be able to plan better. http://www.clickGormo

Great pictures Chris, especially the one looking through the trees. You can almost smell the oil on those tankers Gary
Fantastic images Gary. Pic of week is easy Paul it's ......... Me ........ Your wonderful flounderness just joking, we don't want an outbreak of spontaneous vomiting. It will be a tricky task. So many good shots coming through at the moment. Cheers Toto
It may be my layout Toto, but Chris took this great pics. Thanks Chris, your pics are fantastic. Cheers, Gary.
Thank you Dave. As you probably read, this layout was built as a 'challenge' from Toto ! Something I'd really like to build/model is a dock scene..! Once Jack and I complete his layout (Jay Dubyew North Yard), I just may tackle this dream...! Perhaps it could even be part of the Townstreet Competition. Now there's a thought... Cheers, Gary.
Hi Gary I am interested in your wire in tube point control for my layout. I read a post where you described the materials and the wiring but I cant find it again I am using peco electrofrog points Cheers Cameron
Photo of the Week congrats Gary on the great modelling that made the photo. Gary's Model Railway is top quality modelling, so makes getting a POTW quality pic really easy, that angle is one of my favourites shows off the detail having the trees to frame it doesn't make it look like your in a helicopter taking the shot. http://www.click
Congrats to both of you, an excellant photo of an excellant layout, and to make it more impressive it was taken under exhibition conditions. Again welldone both of you. Paul
Excellent stuff yet again Gary. So many images to chose from as well. They are all top drawer stuff Gary.
Thank you Ed, Paul, Mick & Toto. I only built the layout, Chris took the stunning photo ! Cheers, Gary.
As many of you have read, Industry Lane will be at the AMRA Exhibition in Liverpool, Sydney on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd of October. Today I visited the Hills Model Railway Society exhibition at Castle Hill in the north western suburbs of Sydney. I engaged with the exhibition manager in regards to exhibiting Industry Lane or Linden Ford or even Jack's Layout Jay Dubyew North Yard. Aren't they spoilt for choice ! I also spent time with the exhibition manager of the St. Lukes Model Railway exhibition, which happened to be the first location that I had ever exhibited. John Stanley was ever to happy to have me back again, although this time with Industry Lane and not Linden Ford. I also ran into David, the exhibition manager from the Epping Model Railway Club and he asked if I had anything new to exhibit for 2017 ! Maybe, just maybe, it will be Jack's layout... So today I managed to hand out fliers and cards, so we may just be in for a few more members. I will be posting pics of the attending layouts in another thread. Cheers, Gary.
Well done Gary. Foremost for the attention that Industry Lane, Linden afford and J Dub are getting, secondly for the great promotion of Platform 1. I still reckon you should be courting the magazines ........ Railway magazines that is it's about time they were published. I hope Jacks layout is the next for the accolades as he'd be made up if that were to happen. Looking forward to your photo's as usual.
Been making the cement transfer pipes/taps today to install on the layout... I took a length of 2mm diameter styrene rod and plunged the ends into boiling water. This softened the styrene enough to allow me to bend it. A small length of 2.4mm styrene tube was drilled out to form some couplings for the hose. The black piece above is from the Ratio Fuel Tank kit. Small sections of the 2.4mm tube were cut, and filed so that they fit the circumferance of the 2mm rod. These can be seen facing downwards. Two small pieces of 2mm rod were cut, filed and glued 90* above the 2.4mm couplings. These pieces are for the control valves. They were drilled out with a 0.65mm drill bit to take a length of wire. Two handles were glued in place after being drilled out to take the wire. ...and from the other side. I do have some shielded wire which I painted black and I will use as hoses. These will be glued into the lower couplings. The hoses will lye along the edge of the railway line, ready for use. I post up a pic of the completed item, installed, tomorrow. Cheers, Gary.
