Ixion locomotives

    While I was perusing through eBay looking at 0 gauge locos. I came across a few nice looking locos from a maker called Ixion railway models. Has anyone heard and owned this brand.:scratchchin:

    Been around for a while. Not got one, but also not heard anything negative about them.. first loco i recall them doing was a small 0-4-0st? In GWR livery?

    Ixion was started by two Australians and the sadly late great Chris Klein. Chris Klein and Chris Basten then joined forces and formed Minerva. Minerva is still producing great models run by Chris Basten. I have several Minerva and one Ixion. This is it. Fantastic loco.

    Not sure if Ixion still produces UK locos.

    Walkingthedog the locos on eBay UK look very nice and not badly priced. Thanks for the info regarding these locos.:thumbs:

    Thanks Andy yes the GWR livery loco is up for sale on ebay.

    I have the Fowler 0-4-0 diesel (the GWR had one, No.1)
    it's a very nice loco, and runs smoothly.

    I have several Fowlers, and 1 is fitted with a cheap decoder, and ran the length of Another bridge (approx 14 ft) and took over 3 mins pulling 5 wagons and a brake van and never missed a beat, especially for an 0-4-0T.
