    A scenic diorama as follows

    1. Any scale
    2. Any era
    3. Any physical size
    4. Must contain a grounded railway van / coach or railway related vehicle
    5. The item used for item 4 above should show that it has been converted/ repurposed to another use ... ie a bothy or stores etc ( the most original ideas will score higher when judged as well as the build quality etc.
    6. Other items / props can be used ..... figures, scenics, goats etc.

As always, part of the judging criteria will be based on the regular updating of your entry post to show the build process and techniques used as part of the purpose is to let others learn new techniques from the build. Other judging criteria will be originality and quality of build. However, ......... the quality of the build will not necessarily be weighted as the most Important part of the judging criteria as we are trying to encourage folks at all different skill levels.

That is where regular posting and originality can help compensate for less experience.

The start date will be tomorrow ...... I will create a purpose built area on the forum pages for folks to post their threads in.
If you are entering the competition, the following must be adhered to,

Your build thread must be located in the specially created area on the forum in order to make viewing easier to everybody by having them in the same forum area.

You thread just state your user name and the fact that it is your official competition entry.

For example.......... Toto's grounded van body competition entry thread

If there are any questions, keep them to this thread for the moment. I will come back on here and let you know when the co petition section for this competition has been set up.

The completion date for this competition will be Sunday 12th April to aliow judging by the 17th April ( Easter weekend ) and in order to give everyone plenty of time.

Please keep an eye on this thread for notification of the creation of the competition section thread.

The prize has still to be determined as yet and will be announced here soon. There will only be one winner and anyone can take part. As usual ..... completely free of charge.

    Good luck and happy modelling

An update on the competition prize.

This co petition will be sponsored by Platform 1.

I decided that since the nature of the competition is of a scenic / modelling nature that I should stick with an arty farty prize and have went for a set of Faber Castell pastelle chalks with a set of silicon tipped sculpting tools to suit. Hopefully this will be put to good use in some of the further up and coming competitions.

Once again, good luck and pictures of the above will be posted when they arrive.

    Cheers

    Toto
