:hismiley: A Idea that most probably has been thought and used before. But to me this method of re-pressing (3 x 7 meter lengths) self adhesive led strips made it easier and quicker to do.

Very good Ralph. I prefer your use of the roller to its intended use.:avatar:

    Hi Ralph

I used the aluminium strip backed half meter lengths, and as you have three strips wide.

My half use approx 0.5A per strip at 12V. I'm currently using a 10A bench supply, but have lined up a computer PSU to supply 12V at up to 36A, 5V at 20A and 3.3V at 5A, hopefully will be enough :avatar:

Yes, it's quite surprising how the few milliamps an LED uses, can end up quite a good few amps when you use long strips like that, so you do need a good power supply that's up to the job.

My missus had me buy some led strips to decorate outside the caravan when we are away, the flippin' things nearly flattened our battery .

Oh, I forgot, they also get warm, which loosened the glue, and a couple of the strips fel down - maybe because of the extra weight of the ally backing strip, to overcome the issue I tied them in place with some bell wire. (Solid core telephone wire - the ones predominately white to help hide them
