Hello At yesterdays Car Boot sale I managed to find this for the princely sum of £3.00. Within the packet are 10 sections of 18" long flexible track each section has a strip of Cork underlay attached. These are the only sections of this particular track system that I have ever seen.
The track is certainly in very good condition, it looks as though it was quite expensive then, what do you think, early 1960s? The diamond crossing you show in the first picture looks like it has two pairs of switchable blades? Jim
I think that the Diamond Crossing with the switchable blades is part of the Wrenn system, although the profile and dimensions are identical to the "Peco-way". To me the price does seem to be high for the time that this was in production.
The sleepers of the crossing do look rather chunky compared to the Peco-Way track, very similar to a few old Wrenn buffer stops I have fitted to my cement works sidings. Jim
How does the middle conductor rail work ? does it move its orientation for which route is selected ? as from what I can see it would only work one way otherwise ?
