Hi, After a hiatus for one reason and another I have started back in modelling once again. During the hiatus I developed an interest in 3D Printing and was given some STL files by a friend. Despite barely passing tech drawing at high school, I thought I would have a go at Fusion 360. It has certainly been a learning curve. I have made numerous false starts and mistakes leading me to scrap a number of attempts. Even the attached drawing is the 19th iteration. I still have a problem in reading plans properly. The plan comes from LMS Wagons Vol 1 by Essery and I scanned and loaded it into Fusion. Not sure why but even scaling the plan in Fusion there appears to a degree of inconsistencies between the scanned plan and some of the measurements when measured against a ruler. The plans according to the intro are 12mm to the foot although Essery protects himself by saying "approximately". There are still a number of errors in the Fusion drawing but I am still sure what caused the problem. Probably, the best bet will be to leave it for a couple of days and come back to it. I model 2mmFS (152:1) so some of the detail has to be omitted, simplified or overscale due to printing limitations in this scale. Likewise, I haven’t drawing chassis as it ends up like a Peco chassis; ‘orribly overscale. I used etched chassis available for 2mm Association. Kind regards Geoff
