Locksound dcc sound chips.

    Doe's anyone know if it is possible to fit a stay alive capacitor to the locksound chip?

    :scratchchin: That's an interesting point Kimbo because I fitted stay alive X to my Hudswell Clarks at the time of fitting the decoders but prior to programming. ....... What's the story with that then?:scratchchin:

    The stayalive can sometimes make it difficult to read and program the decoder. As per the link above you can solder a solder pad junction directly onto the decoder. I’ve found it a lot easier and safer to just install a small micro push fit junction away from the decoder.

    Useful for making wiring connections between locomotive and tenders as well when you need to be able to disconnect the tender for servicing the loco.
