This is the final post from David about his work on the model of Hereford Station: https://rogerfarnworth.wordpress.com/2014/03/01/hereford-the-construction-of-barrs-court-station-7
Thanks Toto, I'm continually amazed at David's work and particularly how simple the design work on 'Paint' was and is!

The card models on the layout were constructed from drawings made on 'Paint'. I have just loaded drawings of the Signal Box at the North of the Station and of the Station footbridge onto my blog. It has been quite a while since I posted on this thread, so I thought a few pictures might be a good idea after visit to my loft last week. http://rogerfarnworth.com/2018/11/10/hereford-in-the-loft-november-2018 Sadly progress is very slow as other matters have demanded my time.
At the end of the day Roger its a hobby not a race. The photos are great, and the lorry's at the goods depot are nice models! Cheer's, Pete.
Some time back I was posting about modelling Hereford in N Gauge. We were living in Ashton-under-Lyne and the modelling took place in the Vicarage loft. I am now retired with my wife still working. We have now moved to Telford and the powers that be have generously allocated a relatively large bedroom for the layout. Some compromises are inevitable as the space is smaller than the loft in the Vicarage in Ashton-under-Lyne. Staging has been built and my library is close to being sorted out. I will need one new fiddle yard, the electrics will need connecting board to board for the layout and some damage will need to be rectified. Completing the staging is a good step forward! I will post pictures over the next little while. ..
I mentioned the staging for the layout which makes use of IKEA Ivar. .... http://rogerfarnworth.com/2022/06/10/n-gauge-hereford-2022-again
A good use of space Roger.... I have read recently about someone using the same idea with modules from Ikea. Unfortunately Ikea discontinued the particular module the fellow was using part way through his build, and so he has had to re-jig his plans. If you haven`t already done so, it might pay to secure all the modules you need in case Ikea decides to do the same thing again. Gormo
Yes, gormo, I have the spares that I need! We use Ivar around the house for other furniture. In addition, you can cut the larger items down in size. It requires careful cutting to ensure that the ready drilled holes are tat the same height on each upright.
Hereford in N again, the Move. ... Moving felt like a major exercise. I have a large amount of stock and initially could not imagine how I might be best getting it all from one home to another. ... http://rogerfarnworth.com/2022/06/13/n-gauge-hereford-2022-stock-boxes-for-moving/
That`s a good solution to protect your railway items Roger, I will keep that in mind for future reference...... Gormo
