I have two of the above, both are showing the same problem after a few years use, the centre off position is quite vague, the detente is worn. I am tempted to take one apart to see if I can fix it. Anyone have the same problem?
I've no experience of the Roco Multimaus, but I understand it uses the same system as Lenz, so maybe if the handsets are not repairable, you might be able to get hold of a second hand Lenz LH90 (rotary) or LH100 (button) handset to use instead. Any Roco UK service agents? Keith.
Thanks, the Multimaus handsets are still available,although I think most are wi fi now, my handsets are fine except for the somewhat loose feel around the off position, there is a securing screw which would suggest some sort of access to the inside components, but unsure what might be the outcome of me dabbling!
It can't hurt to have a look inside the units, as it might be that the 'faulty' component is a standard part which could then be replaced. if you do have a look, a pic or two and any component numbers on the control itself might be helpful in sourcing replacements. If as you say, the controls are still being made, then surely parts would also still be available, or at least a (hopefully UK based) repair service. Keith.
It's likely to be a bit of brass that has flattened, the screw comes undone and there is an obvious seam around the handset, but in the past either clips have broken or it's likely to be glued maybe,
