After downloading the stone built coal office, I could not for the life of me work out how to increase the size to O scale, as I had printed it off anyway, I decided to re-read the instruction manual, such as it is, for the new printer, and there I spotted the Epson support site address so I contacted one of their help elves and he, a nice chap called Allan, gave me the instructions to alter the print size in copying mode, anyhoo after using enough paper to write a book on how to do the job I now have an O scale coal office kit hoorah! Now I need to get the rest of the gubbins to build it, card, varnish etc etc and re-read the rules.

    Pete.

Fetched the spray varnish and some card yesterday, gave the sheets a good spray, left to dry overnight and made a start today, I was certain I had some heavy card already, wrong, rather than go shopping again I recall some one mention using 3mm foam board but all I had was 5mm so thinking out side the box a little I found some old pizza foam packaging and have used that!

Time will tell whether it will work, if not I can always start again, thats the beauty of scalescenes.

    Cheers, Pete.

What are you using to keep the sides perpendicular... I mean you don't want a 'leaning t'oer of Pizza' ... ok....I'm going for my nap now.

It would probably have been faster to build the real building than my model, anyway here it is, I haven,t weathered it or given it any grass or weeds around it as I intend to use it on my photo plank-more on that elsewhere.

The down pipe is way way to big so I will swop it for something more in scale later.

    Cheers for now, Pete.

Pete the coal office looks really good :worship:
the upscale to O works well possibly even better than the OO size print.:tophat:

Will be a nice addition to the photo plank.
Will you do it as a coal merchant or as another utility building??

You have done better than me my first go got binned, after leaving the print to glue on the card, came came back to find the card curled, all my fault I put them in the sun forgot about them, left them out over night and they got damp rookie mistake :avatar:

Have reprinted but have been busy doing other projects.:hammer:

    Very nice Pete.

You have 10 days to go before the competition closes and I'm betting your model will be even better. I even bet you still have a few tricks up your sleeve to enhance your excellent entry even further.

    Cheers, Gary.
