Had a couple of 7 plank wagons arrive from Dapol today. I already have a couple of these but at £20.83 each, I'll always take more. A bargain really.

They are just plain BR open wagons in grey with an opening door on either side. Sprung buffers and tension hooks. Another paint shop project and a number change coming on.

I'll post a couple of pics up later.

    Cheers

    Toto

You may not recognise them after I've finished trying to weather them. Maybe a light dusting of grime, some dark washes to age the joints between the planks and a general overall spray of muck and crap.

I need to do the inside as well. Time to look back at the various weathering threads. Especially Amy open wagons.

    Here we go ....... :avatar:

Nice wagons Toto. If using an airbrush for weathering, direct the spray of paint/wash in the direction of travel, another words, where the particular muck comes from. You can even paint some panels to represent replaced timbers.

This diagram explains more than my words !
