Hi Brian, they are Sold as 1:43 but I think they are more like 1:48. Not a lot out there in 1:43 scale. Kim
More likely 1:50 for vehicles. I noted last night in my sons book he’s picked up by Corgi some nice 1:50 UK army lorries... but at around £40 I think I’ll give them a miss. Andy
You know, it looks so good (and sounds) that the only thing missing is the steam and exhaust. Love the whistles. I wonder how long it will be before we get some good smoke machines to sync with the cylinders (yes I know there are some already, but I mean for the every day enthusiast to enjoy) it’s not as noticeable with the paraffin cans.
Thanks Andy. The 9F I did used a standard ESU xlv4 decoder with a ESU large smoke / fan unit, there is a small amount of filing to the body to make it fit but it’s straight forward to do. id love to fit them all but at the moment the smaller locos are just either to small or have no room due to chassis / decoder etc kim
Cheers Andy , Paul. Next one on the bench is my Q1, there’s actually more room in it than the 9F for the smoke unit. The challenge with this install is that it’s fitted to a Zimo decoder which will no doubt cause programming issues .....
