    It's a few months too late for 1960s Newcastle, but here's a photo I took of a rather grubby 3813 on the turntable at Broadmeadow on 13 May 1970:

    Thanks Paul it’s a great bit of film how good do the C38’s look powerful with purpose.
    It’s no wonder that I have a thing for them with currently 13 represented in my collection from N scale to 1/32 scale 13 a unlucky number so No14 a non streamline version in lined black livery live steam will eventually join the fleet should have been delivered from Accucraft by the time I got home from our trip but still waiting.:facepalm:

    My Newcastle layout is on hold at the moment until I have a larger area to set up and work on it even with some compression it’s a big station area to model as can be seen in the film lots of details to include and a perfect home for the O scale C38’s
    At 11.20 in the video the station point work looks impressive and this complex is to be modeled as seen
