Oakstone BR(M), the 7mm ultra high-realism Exhibition Layout

    Currently under construction is my ultra-high realism 7mm Exhibition Layout, named ‘Oakstone’, based in the transition period between the early and late British Railways Crest uses from 1956 onwards, themed in the BR(M) Region within a typical Yorkshire Dales countryside landscape.

    The layout will feature a large Midland Engine Shed, Station and Pit areas, with a two track Mainline run though.

    I’ll post updates of progress which may be of interest here, with any comments and advice welcome!

    Thanks also to Andy Sollis, of Northern Bridge 3D Models, both for the group recommendation and also for assistance and patience with his outstanding high-detail 3D Printed Models, some of which is custom work and are to be extensively used on the layout!

    Great super real modelling there Robert and thanks for posting up such great images.:tophat: I have to say I saw the pre print images of the Oakstone name boards and have to say Andy has certainly worked the good old authenticity magic again.:thumbs:

    If it wasn’t for @York Paul , we wouldn’t have the font to do those name boards! His insistence of it being correct for Elton Crossing was some hours of work to manually create the font and then spend £10 for them to sent it to me to use! :scratchchin::thumbs:

    That is a very nicely made signal box Robert. Do I assume it is 3D printed?
