    :hismiley:my proposed oo gauge plank layout will be 3ft long and 6inches wide. The track i will be using is Peco Setrack code 100. The layout is a main straight with one right hand point leading to a siding. My loco of choice is Dapol D97 1466 GWR locomotive. The main straight will lead to a loading bay and engine shed.
    Hope it sounds ok.:thumbs:

    :hismiley:all I started work on the plank baseboard today. It’s completed so I will post up a picture tomorrow.

    Hi just a small update for now. The baseboard is painted ready for laying my track. This I planned to do yesterday but my right hand Peco point did not arrive.
    So while I wait for this to arrive I did some track weathering. Work on laying the track will hopefully begin on Thursday if my point arrives.:thumbup:

    Hi all and merry Christmas. I have progressed a little more on my plank layout. The baseboard has been painted and track has been laid and weathered. I have started to form some landscape using polystyrene. The layout is starting to slowly take shape. I have took a picture of my progress.

    Hi all I have been busy forming the rock face on my plank layout as well as putting my coal Staithe in its position. Over the holidays in have been building lines lineside huts and weathering along with buffer stops. I have taken some pictures of my progress.

    Ooh very nice Kevin, I like the way your plank looks with the rock mould scenic coming along nicely, :thumbup: great little project and one I shall certainly be following with interest :tophat:

    Thank you Paul for the lovely comments. I will be painting my sky in sometime today and the rock face just needs a little grass to bring it to life.:thumbup:

    :hismiley:Afternoon all. I have managed to paint the sky into the layout this morning. It’s all starting to take shape nicely. I have ordered some more bits from trackshack this morning and should receive them Wednesday or Thursday, then I can complete the walled area and ballasting. So here are a couple of pictures of my progress.

    US modeller Lance Mindheim has spoken many times about the single point plank (shelf layout) and how much fun they can be. I look forward to seeing how you progress on this plank. :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:
