Great improvisation Ron inexpensive but very effective.
Upcycling at its best . Well done Ron!
Thanks, bit more done to the elevator today, pipes and roof added.
Painting will be next when it's all set..
Turning into another great build Ron. A couple of your pipe bends have suffered a bit but I'd think you'll can correct that. It looks excellent. Looking forward to the paint job.
Bending square tubing was a nightmare!! Round tubing, no problem!!
Basic paint job done, will weather etc at the weekend...
The real square ducting wouldn't have been bent, they'd have cut and shut to get the curve. Mind you I think you can buy it already done in resin, not sure but it might be A1 models. Still the whole things looking great! Well done mate .
The buildings come up a treat Ron looking forward to seeing it progress with the weathering.
Great reuse of materials etc to produce a really nice model.
Thanks all, may add some putty in the square ducting bends at some time!!
You could just make up some square overlays to cover the corners like junction boxes, as Pete said would have been cut and shut so in sections with Junction box style joins would be ok
Worth a try Chris!!
A bit of weathering for the elevators and some pipe repairs!!
Coming on Ron. Keep up the good work.
Decided to add a crossing near the elevator, just card at the moment and a quick paint..
Bit more work to do on this when it's dry!
Looking good, Ron and much cheaper than the Walthers kit I bought (£75!!).
That's for sure Keith!
Finished crossing for now, some detailing to do in the future.
It's all falling into place Ron.
Coming along a treat Ron! take some still photos to take to Spalding and Peterborough and see if they would be interested for 2018.
great progress Ron
Ron it's looking the business around the yard now
The driver of the Shunter was a bit rough on that hopper, you will have to show them the adjustment of CV 3 acc rate so they won't pull the couplers
