I am starting a fresh with my diorama entry, as I started a diorama in my old username I am using the same diorama board purchased from scalemodelscenery.
I intend to have an embankment running along the back and in front of that a fence. The grounded ventilated van will be beside a disused railway bed with the odd sleeper shown where the tracks would have been.
The van will be made into a small dwelling with livestock and a washing line as clothes will hopefully be pegged out. It's going to be fun. :avatar:

Looking forward to seeing it develop. The washing line sounds novel.

    Good luck.

I have an unpainted van body that will be going into the diorama.

Toto I think it's great to show bits of detail like the washing line and other bits such as a fire and cooking equipment.

Having seen what you do with your other models, this will be a cracker ! As for the washing line and cooking equipment etc, it's the little details that matter and it's these details that brings a model to life ! ;)

    Cheers, Gary.

Thanks Gary I'm going to enjoy this build as I will be adding little bits of detail which I have not done in a diorama and probably a flickering fire. :scratchchin:

This afternoon I have been individually painting the base coats on my sleepers. Once these have been glued in place I can add weathering to the sleepers further as these would have been open to the elements.
As always a progress picture.

Hi first of all thanks for the likes and comments.
Today progress is going nicely with the diorama build. The rocky embankment area at the back is starting to take shape, just need cardboard and kitchen roll soaked in PVA to finish it off.
I have laid the sleepers on the disused track bed, the large gap is where the grounded van will be positioned. Once the embankment is complete I can concentrate on adding timbers for the grounded van to rest on.
A picture of my diorama progress..

Great to see a start in your entry. I must say painting sleepers and the chairs makes all the difference.
This, I will be following along closely !

    Cheers, Gary.
